Josh and Kaelen conducted the initial evaluation and determination of min-split heat pump to be installed. Independent Power did a stellar job replacing my old gas furnace with an electric heat pump. While working on that project they identified and fixed a long standing circuit breaker issue which had stumped multiple electricians in the past. Independent Power finished the installation of our cold-climate heat pump on January 6, just about a week before the super cold, sub-zero temperatures hit. We knew it was going to be the first big test of the system, and I'm happy to say that it came through with flying colors! Our house stayed nice and toasty throughout the cold snap. We still have a gas furnace for part of the house, but we didn't even think of firing it up because we never needed it. Really impressed with the system's performance over the cold snap and in its first month of operation!

The heat zones in my home haven't been right for years and its just something that I thought was normal for a boiler system, cold in some rooms, hot in others. Dakota came to diagnose the problem and was so thorough and spent so much time explaining the system to me, and then diagnosed it perfectly! The price was fair as well. When the part came in, he made sure that I had heat before the first cold spell, and now the heat in all the rooms is so even. I am so happy with Independent and Dakota!
